The Power Usage Meter is perfect for measuring energy consumption of normal appliances in normal operation. The display uses large 12mm digits and is very easy to read. The menu is very user friendly and easy to navigate through the various functions. To operate you simply plug into the wall outlet, then plug your appliance into the meter. You can then walk away and the meter data logs the appliances energy consumption along with the elapsed time. When you return hours, days, weeks or months later, there are two important numbers recorded. They are total kilowatt hours consumed by the appliance, and total elapsed time connected to power. These two numbers can then be used to work out your appliances daily power consumption. This vital piece of information can indicate whether the appliance is operating efficiently, or how much it is contributing to your power bill. In addition, the Power Usage Meter calculates how much the appliance costs to run with a simple display in dollars and cents.
